Chakra Meanings



ROOT CHAKRA

The root chakra or the first chakra is called the Muladhara (pronounced ‘Moola-dhaara’) Chakra. While all the Seven Chakras are important for our health and well being, some experts consider the first chakra to be the most important Chakra mainly since it directs energy to all other chakras and also helps connect the individual to his/her physical world.

Location of the root chakra– Base of the spine.

Organs and functions it affects– Large intestine, Immune system and all reproductive organs.

Color associated with the root chakra– The first chakra is associated with Red – the color of blood or passion. Hence, the Root Chakra represents the life force (Chi or Prana) of the physical body itself.

OPEN AND WELL-BALANCED CHAKRAS

When a chakra is ‘open’ and well-balanced, it functions normally. The different Chakras all have different levels of activity and are considered to help our instincts; feelings and thinking align with each other. However, this is not the case always. Sometimes, a chakra is not open enough (it is underactive or overactive Chakra) which leads to an imbalance, ill-health and disharmony in the person.

OVERACTIVE ROOT CHAKRA

When the root or first chakra is overactive, the individual tends to be very angry, aggressive or annoyed all the time. Slightest provocation is enough to set him/her off. Such a person tries to control others and following higher authority is rather difficult for him. Likewise, materialistic or greedy individuals also tend to have an overactive root chakra. Such people are more likely to resist change and are obsessed with feeling secure all the time.

UNDERACTIVE ROOT CHAKRA

The first chakra can sometimes be underactive, in that; it is not ‘open enough’. In such a case, the individual tends to feel insecure or disconnected with the outside world. S/he tends to be rather disorganized owing to this. Finishing daily tasks with efficiency can be hard for such people. Afraid, overly-anxious and nervous people also tend to have an underactive root chakra. They feel easily unwelcome in groups or parties.

OPENING AND BALANCING THE FIRST CHAKRA

Both, underactive and overactive root chakras can lead to many physical symptoms like weight loss or weight gain or over or underactive sex drives, depression, laziness, anemia, IBS (irritable Bowel Syndrome) and so on. Hence, balancing the Root chakra is essential.

There are many ways of balancing the root chakra. Experts recommend the use of Yoga poses, aroma therapy essential oils, visualization and guided meditation as well as the use of colored crystals or stones to balance the root chakra. Here are a few methods:

  1. Envisioning a lotus at the base of the spine, where the root chakra is located. Alternatively, one can visualize red color glowing brightly at the base of the spine in order to open the first chakra.
  2. The root chakra is all about one’s connection to Mother Earth. Dancing is hence considered great way of balancing the root chakra. Likewise, one can get a pedicure, or go for a walk to balance and open the first chakra optimally.
  3. Yogasanas or yoga poses like Mountain pose, Bridge pose and Warrior One etc pose can also help open and balance the chakra.
  4. Aromatherapy: This involves burning a few essential oils (Angelica, geranium rose, Cedar, Frankincense or ylang ylang etc) or candles to make the room fragrant. Applying these oils on the pulse points before meditating can also help one relax and open the root chakra. The aforementioned oils can be used to rub on the soles of the feet.
  5. Crystals like Azurite, Bloodstone and yellow topaz etc are recommended for well-balanced first chakra.
  6. Nutrition for first chakra includes red foods like apples, strawberries, red cabbage as well as high protein foods like red meat, eggs etc.

The root chakra directs the Chi or life energy to all other chakras. When it is fully open and balanced, it will help you become a whole and healthy human being. You will be able to tap into this renewed energy and feel more confident, stable and physically alive.

 

SACRAL CHAKRA

The sacral chakra or the second chakra is known by many different names such as the navel chakra, abdominal chakra or the Svadishthana chakra. Svadishthana is the Sanskrit word for ‘abode of the self or the dwelling of the mind’. Thus, the second Chakra is concerned with centre of sensuality, creativity and procreation.

Location of the Second Chakra– The sacral chakra is located in abdominal region, directly over the testes in men and ovaries in women.

Color of the sacral Chakra– The naval or second chakra is connected to the Etheric body (the subtle state of consciousness that transcends the known physical universe). It is associated with the color Orange.

Organs and functions affected by the sacral chakra– The second chakra impacts all bodily fluids, taste, blood circulation, reproductive functions, large intestine, kidneys and lower back etc.

OPEN AND BALANCED CHAKRAS

It is essential to have open and well-balanced Chakras in order to enjoy optimal health and happiness. When they are out of balance, our Chakras can wreak havoc on the systems connected to them.

Our body sends out many signs when the chakras are not functioning the way they should be. If you are feeling sad, depressed or low in energy all the time, then it is likely that your Chakras are being blocked with negative energy. On the other hand, well-balanced and healthy chakras will instill feelings of calm, peace and serenity. You would also be better equipped to deal with daily stress and strain.

OVERACTIVE SECOND CHAKRA

Humans have fixed beliefs that help them feel attracted to or repelled by others present in their surrounding physical world. These beliefs are directly impacted by the Second chakra.  To rise above these judgments, it is important to balance the second chakra.

A person with an overactive sacral chakra will be overly dramatic or highly emotional. S/he tends to have an unhealthy mental, emotional or physical attachment to others around. Sexual problems, especially sexual addictions, are more likely in people with an overactive second chakra.

UNDERACTIVE SECOND CHAKRA

In case of an underactive sacral chakra, the individual will feel constantly repressed or harbor feelings of guilt or shame that lead to denying self of pleasurable things.  Such people are unable to come up with anything creative, and tend to be sluggish and lazy. Their constant fatigue also leads to an inability to enjoy sex. Their daily interactions are affected by the fact that they are not always their true self.

OPENING AND BALANCING THE SACRAL CHAKRA

There are many physical symptoms which indicate that the second chakra is imbalanced or not functioning as intended: Aches and pains, irregular menstrual cycle, kidney and urine infections and other serious disorders like infertility issues, fibroids or cysts etc are also likely in these individuals. Muscular tension is another sign that something is wrong with the second chakra.

Balancing the second chakra can be done in a variety of ways as follows:

  1. Tone up and exercise- As stated above, muscular tension is one of leading signs that the sacral chakra is not in balance. Individuals can opt for dancing, regular gym workouts or walking daily for 30 minutes to strengthen and tone up the muscles.
  2. Yogic poses like the Cow pose, the Dancer’s (Nataraja) Pose, the Trikonasana or Triangle pose and child’s pose or Balasana are recommended for strengthening and balancing the second chakra.
  3. Meditating and envisioning the orange color in the naval region (or in the abdomen just above the pelvic region) is an effective way of balancing the sacral chakra.
  4. Crystals with a positive influence on the sacral chakra include Amber, Hematite, Orange Calcite and Red Jasper.
  5. Foods that help strengthen the sacral chakra include almonds, melons, coconut, mandarins, oranges, honey and water.

The sacral chakra is the ‘seat of all our emotions’. When well balanced, it can help an individual love self and others. He/she would become a happy, creative and ambitious person who is capable of accepting change, ‘going with the flow’ and forming healthy and happy relationships with people around.

 

SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA

The Third Chakra or the Solar plexus chakra is known as the Manipura Chakra in Sanskrit. ‘Mani’ stands for pearl or jewel and ‘pura’ stands for city. Thus, the Manipura Chakra is responsible for ‘pearls of wisdom’, well being, clarity and common sense in every individual. Experts call the Third Chakra the ‘self power chakra’- one’s self-confidence, self-discipline and the ability to achieve goals all come from it.

Location of the Third Chakra– The solar plexus chakra is located just behind the naval region below the rib cage.

Color associated with the Third chakra– The Solar Plexus Chakra is associated with Yellow color. Yellow symbolizes energy, intellect and also the relationship a person has with Fire and Sun.

Organs and functions connected to the Third Chakra– The Third Chakra impacts the stomach, liver, large intestine, pancreas and also the eyes and face.

OPEN AND WELL BALANCED CHAKRAS AND THEIR SIGNIFICANCE

It is vital to have well-balanced chakras for good health and overall well-being. When there is a block in the flow of energy in any of the seven chakras, one tends to suffer from allergies, digestive problems, psychological issues and other disorders. Often, we tend to blame our ill-health and the inability to achieve goals on our circumstances. However, experts in the field of Chakras suggest that these are a result of imbalanced chakras.

Chakras can be underactive (not open enough) or they could go in an overdrive to become overactive chakras. Both these conditions can cause a variety of emotional and physical problems in individuals.

OVERACTIVE SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRAS

Judgmental, critical, angry, over-energetic and aggressive personalities tend to have an overactive Third Chakra. Likewise, a person with a hyperactive Solar plexus Chakra tends to bully others. S/he has the attitude of ‘I am always right’ and tends to turn a deaf ear to advice given by others.

UNDERACTIVE THIRD CHAKRA

As opposed to people with overactive Solar Plexus Chakra, those with underactive ones tend to be diffident, lacking self confidence or having severe emotional issues. These are the nervous type of people who tend to seek constant approval of others and worry about what everyone thinks of them.

BALANCING THE SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA

A well balanced solar plexus chakra can enable one to effectively set out and achieve his/her goals. Cleaning and opening the Third chakra can make one a better leader or even stand up for him/herself to create a life one dreams of.

There are a number of ways in which one can balance the Third Chakra:

  1. Thinking Yellow- Meditating while envisioning the color yellow in the navel region is one of the ways of opening and balancing the Third Chakra. Experts also recommend wearing yellow colored clothes or spending time in the sunshine to energize this Chakra.
  2. Dancing, playing sports and indulging in energetic activities are also considered great for balancing all Seven Chakras.
  3. Gems and crystals like Citrine, Topaz and yellow Citrine are also known to harmonize and balance the Solar Plexus Chakra.
  4. Aromatherapy essential oils of Citronella and Lemon can be applied to pulse points to relax the senses while meditating upon the chakra.
  5. Yoga poses like the Camel, Cobra and Cow poses are ideal for opening and balancing the Third Chakra.
  6. Foods and spices like turmeric, chamomile, butternut squash, flax and sunflower seeds and bananas, lemons and corn are known to aid this Chakra.

For healing the solar plexus Chakra (or any other Chakra for that matter), it is important to state your intention before following any of these methods mentioned above. Doing so will make the process more effective.

The solar plexus Chakra is a very powerful Chakra that can help you achieve your goals and desires. It is, however, necessary to set smaller and doable goals to assert yourself when trying to balance it.  This will enable you to love and respect yourself and become a stronger advocate of your needs.

 

HEART CHAKRA

Known as the balance point of all seven Chakras, the heart or the fourth Chakra is located at the center of the breastbone. This Chakra deals with love and relationships and represents the energy center for an individual’s happiness and feelings of compassion.

The heart is the organ which is always associated with unconditional love and kindness. In Sanskrit, the fourth Chakra or Heart Chakra is also known as the Anahata Chakra which means ‘unstruck, unhurt and unbeaten’.  Thus the Fourth Chakra is associated with calm, serenity and ‘sounds without violence’.

Location of the Fourth Chakra– As stated before, the Fourth Chakra is located in the center of the breastbone or sternum. Its superficial activation site is the place between the two breasts.

Color associated with the Heart Chakra– The color Green which symbolizes health, prosperity and abundance is associated with this Chakra.

Organs impacted by the Fourth chakra– The Fourth Chakra is associated with the skin, action of one’s hands and the Thymus gland.

OPEN AND WELL BALANCED CHAKRAS

The Seven Chakras sometimes suffer from imbalances which lead to physical afflictions and/or feelings of dissatisfaction. On the other hand, when the life energy or Chi is flowing freely through the well balanced Chakras; they spin properly and help maintain the mental, physical and spiritual balance in the individual. Hence, balancing the Chakras is very important for overall health and well being.

OVERACTIVE HEART CHAKRA

In the overactive mode, the heart or Fourth Chakra makes the individual feel overwhelmed by emotions. S/he tends to experience extreme grief, sadness, jealousy, greediness, anger etc without any control over these feelings. Lack of self discipline, tendency to live one’s life through another’s, and experiencing difficulty in relationships are a few signs of an overactive heart chakra.

UNDERACTIVE FOURTH CHAKRA

When the fourth chakra is in an underactive state, it makes the individual feel unloved, cold, distant, and inferior or constantly seeking out emotional support from relationships.

BALANCING AND OPENING THE HEART CHAKRA

Both overactive and underactive Heart Chakra can lead to many physical ailments like circulation problems, skin diseases, sleep problems, heart palpitations, hypertension, immune system dysfunctions, back aches etc.

A well balanced heart chakra will make one more compassionate and loving towards others without expecting anything in return. Likewise, one will start to love him/herself first and also have immense gratitude in life. A well balanced Fourth Chakra can also lead to disciplined living, stronger relationships and freedom from depending on others for peace and happiness.

People with overpowering heart Chakras need to slow down and discover love within self. Conversely, those with inactive or underactive heart Chakra must open themselves up to receive love fully.

There are number of ways of opening and balancing the Heart Chakra:

  1. Since Green color is associated with the fourth chakra, one can meditate while visualizing the green color in the heart region. Wearing green clothes or decorating one’s room in green or surrounding oneself with plants and trees can also aid the Heart Chakra. Walking barefoot upon (or lying down on) green grass can also benefit in balancing the Heart Chakra.
  2. Crystals and stones like emerald, jade, green jasper, peridot and rose quartz are recommended for strengthening and balancing this Chakra.
  3. Yoga poses like Garudaasana (The Eagle pose) and the Gomukhasana (The Cow pose) are recommended for benefitting the Fourth Chakra.
  4. One of the simplest ways of opening the heart chakra is to love oneself completely. By taking care of and appreciating the self, one can learn to love others better.
  5. For infusing green energy in the body, one can opt for aromatherapy oils like patchouli, Cedar wood, Rose, eucalyptus and pine when meditating.
  6. Foods that strengthen the Fourth Chakra include green leafy vegetables, cucumber, melons, limes, green apples, and mint etc.

The Heart Chakra governs our relationships and interactions with those around us. It determines our values, beliefs and ethics as well as how well we accept ourselves and those around us. Meditating daily upon this chakra can strengthen it so that we can become dearer to others and also have our senses completely under control.

 

THROAT CHAKRA

The Fifth Chakra in the human body is located in the throat region and aptly named Throat Chakra. In Sanskrit, the word ‘Vishuddha’ (meaning purification) is used for the Fifth Chakra. This Chakra is the center of communication, listening etc.

Location of the Fifth Chakra– Throat Chakra is located between the third and fifth neck vertebrae and opens towards the throat. Centrally it lies at the base of the neck.

Color associated with the throat chakra– Blue.

Organs and Functions depending on the Throat Chakra– Thyroid and Parathyroid glands are connected to this chakra. It impacts communication, hearing, listening, self expression and decision making etc.

OPEN AND WELL BALANCED CHAKRAS

All of the Seven Chakras in the body need to be balanced. When that is not so, the individual is likely to experience difficulties in life or professional settings etc. Chakras also impact the health and overall wellbeing of every individual. They are also connected to the endocrine system and affect the glands. Thus, hormonal issues are often a result of weak or imbalanced Chakras. Healthy Chakras spin and radiate energy. They allow the life force to flow smoothly through the body making the individual happy and whole.

Like the other Chakras, the Throat or the Fifth Chakra can sometimes get blocked. Blockages in energy flow can cause the Chakras to go in an overdrive or, conversely, become inactive. In either case, the individual may experience health problems.

OVERACTIVE THROAT CHAKRA

In the overactive mode, the throat chakra can make a person critical and judgmental about those around him. Shrill, loud and domineering individuals who yell and shout at others (but do not allow others to talk back at them) tend to have overactive Fifth Chakras. Such people also tend to be in disharmony with their own feelings. They are unable to listen or understand and make up for it by intellectualizing, over analyzing or avoiding vulnerability of feelings.

UNDERACTIVE FIFTH CHAKRA

Sometimes the Fifth Chakra can be underactive. People with underactive Throat Chakras tend to whisper; they are afraid of openly expressing their views. They are timid or unable to stand up for themselves. They may also be forgetful or unable to articulate and express their feelings.

BALANCING AND OPENING THE THROAT CHAKRA

People with an imbalance in their Fifth Chakra can have variety of health issues like thyroid problems, throat, dental or jaw problems as well as shoulder, arm and neck stiffness, arthritis etc. On the contrary, the ones with healthy Throat Chakras have highly attuned communication skills and the ability to detect lies or truths in conversations.

There are many ways of balancing and opening the Fifth Chakra to its maximum potential.

  1. Sounds, colors and positive affirmations pertaining to the Throat Chakra can help balance and open it fully. Visualizing the Blue color in the throat region during meditation, wearing blue clothes, decorating a room in blue etc can help one achieve this objective. Sitting outdoors under the blue sky or at the beach before the blue sea can also aid the Fifth Chakra.
  2. There are many blue stones and crystals that can be used for balancing the Throat Chakra: Lapis Lazuli, aquamarine, turquoise, blue tourmaline are a few mentionable ones in this list.
  3. Painting, artwork, crafts, singing and chanting (and other creative activities) can strengthen the throat chakra.
  4. Foods to quench the throat chakra include juices, fruits and vegetables with high water content and herbal teas etc.
  5. Keeping a journal to express one’s feelings, speaking the truth always and voicing thoughts and opinions while realizing self uniqueness are other ways of unblocking one’s Fifth Chakra.
  6. The Throat Chakra’s element is Ether. Hence, aromatherapy oils like Rose, ylang-ylang and Sandalwood can be used to benefit one during meditation.

The Throat Chakra is the centre of communication and purification. Balancing this Chakra can help you reconnect with your true nature and make you feel safe enough to express it. A strong and balanced Fifth Chakra can also help you get in touch with your desires and feelings that have been suppressed or long forgotten about.

 

BROW OR THIRD EYE CHAKRA

The Brow Chakra is known by different names like the Third Eye Chakra, Inner Eye Chakra or The Sixth Chakra. In Sanskrit, the word Ajna meaning Third Eye is used to for it. The Third or Inner Eye is considered as The Gateway to Enlightenment or The Realm of Higher Consciousness. The sixth chakra is thus the center of inner perception and intuition. Our ideas, dreams, ambitions, goals, inner strength and self image all develop from this Chakra.

Location of the Brow Chakra– Just above and between the two eyebrows, on the forehead, over the bridge of the nose. Hindu women wear a Bindi, a circular dot in this region on the forehead, to symbolize or mark the Third Eye Chakra.

Color associated with the Sixth Chakra– Indigo

Organs and functions depending on the Third Eye Chakra-The eyes, nose, ears, brain, nervous system, the pituitary and pineal glands and their subsequent functions are influenced by the Third Eye Chakra.

IMPORTANCE OF OPEN AND BALANCED CHAKRAS

All the seven chakras located along the spine need to be well balanced and open. Balanced Chakras help in smooth flow of energy which has a direct bearing upon the individual. S/he can enjoy good health and well being and experience gratitude for everything in life.  On the other hand, illness, psychological disorders like stress, anxiety etc are the direct result of blocked or unhealthy Chakras.

Chakras, when not functioning properly, can become hyperactive or inactive. Both these conditions can have a negative impact on the individual.

OVERACTIVE THIRD EYE CHAKRA

In the overactive mode, the Brow Chakra can lead to an overactive imagination. One tends to live in a fantasy world which gives rise to dreams or nightmares. People with a judgmental attitude, over-intellectual thinking and unsympathetic nature tend to have the Sixth chakra in overdrive.

INACTIVE BROW CHAKRA

In case of inactive or weak Brow Chakra, the person tends to have memory or learning problems. Such people have difficulty in visualizing or imagining things. They can be quite insensitive towards others and might have poor intuition which they make up for by having rational or black-white thinking.

BALANCING AND OPENING THE SIXTH CHAKRA

Both inactive and overactive Brow Chakras can lead to several physical and mental problems. People might experience vision problems, hearing difficulties, stress and chronic headaches due to it. Panic attacks, depression, learning problems and spinal dysfunction issues are often a result of weak Sixth Chakra. With a well balanced and open Brow Chakra, one can become more intuitive, charismatic and completely devoid of ego. Such people do not face obstacles as they have a calm and clear mind that is accepting of people and situations as they arise.

There are several ways of balancing the Brow Chakra. It is essential to first balance all the lower chakras situated below it in order to establish a solid foundation for the Brow Chakra to develop.

  1. To strengthen and balance the Indigo Third Eye Chakra, close your eyes and meditate upon every facet of life that you envision building for yourself. This can be positive thoughts regarding your relationships, stability in income, or enjoyment in everything you do etc.
  2. Crystal Therapy for the Brow Chakra includes the use of purple or indigo colored stones or gems like Amethyst, Sodalite, Lazulite, Azurite etc.
  3. During meditation, you can utilize essential oils like angelic root, sage, cypress, marjoram, patchouli etc for Aromatherapy.
  4. Simplicity and acceptance of situations as they come are also a few ways of opening and strengthening the Sixth Chakra.
  5. Nutrition for the Third Eye Chakra consists of foods high in proteins and Omega-3 fatty acids such as sunflower or flax seeds, fatty fish like salmon, and nuts like walnuts etc. One must also eat plenty of berries like strawberries and blueberries as they help boost the cognitive function of the brain and also balance the Third Eye Chakra.

Our intuition is our guide and teacher that helps us through thick and thin of life and the situations it brings. When the Brow or the Third Eye Chakra is weak, the Intuition becomes weak, leading to misery, disappointments, wrong decisions etc.  With a balanced Sixth Chakra, one can start to experience success by taking the right decisions and manifesting the innermost desires.

 

CROWN CHAKRA

The crown or the seventh chakra is located at the top of the head. Just as the Root or First Chakra connects us to the Mother Earth, the Crown Chakra is our connection to the Universe. In fact, the Seventh Chakra disperses the Universal energy or life force into the six other chakras located below it. In Sanskrit, the Crown Chakra is termed as the Sahasrara (the ‘thousand fold’ Chakra), since it is pictured as a lotus having thousand white petals.

Location of the seventh chakra– Top center of the head, midline between the ears.

Color– White or violet

Organs and functions connected to the Crown Chakra– Head, brain, ears, eyes, pineal gland, skeletal and muscular systems as well as the skin.

OPEN AND WELL BALANCED CHAKRAS

When all seven Chakras are open optimally (i.e. not too much, not too little) they spin with energy and transmit it throughout the body. This helps the individual function properly physically and psychologically.

On the other hand, even if one Chakra is blocked or open too much, then the individual may experience frustration, ill health and destructive thoughts. Learning, concentration and memory problems, physical illnesses, chronic disorders, aches and pains as well as depression can be attributed to imbalanced Chakras.

Hence, optimum balancing of the Chakras is essential.

OVERACTIVE SEVENTH CHAKRA

In the overactive (or hyperactive) mode, the seventh Chakra can lead a person to have obsessive thoughts. Such individuals live in the past or constantly think about the future. Overactive Crown Chakra can also give rise to obsessive spirituality, so much so that his other duties are neglected.

UNDERACTIVE CROWN CHAKRA

Blockage in the Crown Chakra can render it inactive. Such a person tends to be rigid, selfish and spiritually unaware. There is general depression, lack of joy and loss of meaning or identity in his/her life. Blocked Crown Chakra can also lead to selfish thoughts, inability to see the bigger picture in life and a general lack of values and ethics.

A person with a closed Crown Chakra gets no guidance from the Supreme Power; this fact tends to anger him but he also feels unworthy of receiving such help in the first place.

BALANCING THE SEVENTH CHAKRA

Blocked or overactive Crown Chakra can lead to various physical ailments such as depression, headaches, neurological issues etc. Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s, paralysis, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, senility, dementia etc are also linked to imbalance in the seventh Chakra.

There are a few expert recommended techniques which can help us balance the seventh Chakra optimally. The key here is to open the Chakra just right: not too much, not too little.

  1. Meditate upon the Crown Chakra. Focus your attention on the top of the head and clearly set your intention of balancing the Chakra. Visualize the violet color when doing this. Thank the Universe and feel the connection to the Higher Being, since Gratitude and contentment are the simplest ways of strengthening this Chakra.
  2. Crystals and gems like Amber, diamonds and moldavite may be used when activating the seventh chakra.
  3. Aromatherapy with floral essences such as Lotus, Angelica and white tulip when applied to the pulse points can aid the meditation process.
  4. Yoga postures like Shavasana (corpse position) or Lotus position (Padmasana) are recommended for aiding the Crown Chakra. An advanced pose, the headstand or Shirshasan, also helps balance the Crown Chakra by increasing blood flow to the top of the head.
  5. Detoxifying and fasting for a day or two is also recommended to balance the Seventh Chakra. Light meals, broth, stews and soups, violet colored fruits and vegetables along with plenty of water must be used to clear the Crown Chakra and enable it to receive the Divine Energy.

The Crown Chakra is our connection with Divinity; it is the portal through which the life energy enters our body. Without this energy, human beings cannot function properly and tend to feel disconnected with self and others. By balancing and strengthening the Seventh Chakra, we can connect with the Higher Power to receive its love which can then be shared with those around us.
