Nobody is perfect, yet almost everyone tries to act as though they "have it together". This neurotic false pretense is what divides us from each other and ourselves.
If only we could see inside each other's minds and realize that we're all full of similar anxieties, insecurities, compulsions, sadness, false beliefs, and just plain ol' bizarre thoughts! We would awaken to the fact that our ego is a neurotic construct enslaved within a neurotic culture, and that culture is no more than a collectivized consensus about what sort of neurotic behaviors are acceptable. The whole silly charade would rapidly dissolve in a global cuddle-puddle of laughter and tears.
If you want this in your own life, it starts with you accepting yourself, embracing your own Shadow Self, with all the things in your self you've denied and held back. Your "flaws" and personal challenges are the most interesting, endearing, and relatable thing about you in an otherwise homogenized and fake society. In an age of deceit and emotional disconnection, being authentic to yourself is a revolutionary act.
